Self,
It's so wrong how things are in the political realm and with media.
Last night, on AOL, I started to read an article that boasted that President Obama and the First Lady reported an income of $1.7 million for 2010 to the IRS and that they paid over $450,000 in taxes. On top of that revelation, the article then said that President Obama was continuing his efforts to repeal the Bush-era tax-breaks for those with an annual income over $250,000, which obviously includes him. (GET INTO IT, BABY!!)
Well I was just so proud of the implications of that tidbit of information that I stopped reading the article and allowed myself to be distracted with other things, and then eventually went to bed. I mean for me, what that says is that his push to remove those tax breaks for the rich means he is really trying to do what he feels will benefit the country as a whole. With the income that he makes it would be more self-serving to leave the tax-breaks in place, but that's not what he is doing. It also says he's a man of high principles and standards. (Things we really already knew, but it never hurts to re-enforce the point.)
So this morning I woke up and turned on AOL again. The top news flash I saw was another article about President Obama. However this one was about some silly Republican Tea Party politician in Orange County California that sent out an email with a picture of chimpanzees posed for a family portrait with President Obama's face superimposed on the face of the baby chimp and the caption reads "No wonder there's no birth certificate." Do you know this stupid individual had the nerve to say that she didn't realize the implications of such a picture.
REALLY?!?!?!?
They are constantly trying to take his thunder.
Sincerely,
Pharoah
