I don't know if I've mentioned it however living at with my parents (with cable) has roped me back into watching television some what regularly. I won't dare exposed the long list of shows that I now indulge myself into watching on a weekly basis.
In recent years there has been a surge of a specific branch of "reality tv" that are televised competitions. No I don't mean game shows those have been on for years. I'm talking about shows like;
America's Next Top Model
American Idol
America Got Talent
So You Think You Can Dance
Live to Dance
Project Runway
RuPaul's Drag Race
Next Food Network Star
Top Chef
Chopped
Iron Chef
Best Dance Crew
LOL that was just the ones I could think of off the top of my head...and NO I don't watch them. Well I did watch one season of ANTM, (Mercedes should have won the season) an occasional episode of Idol, was drug into watching parts of the Drag Race, and will gladly sit through any of the cooking shows for the recipe.
Well another one has caught my attention and had just ended. The show aired on the Syfy (Sci-Fi) channel and is called Face Off. The idea was 12 special effects make-up artists were competing for $100,000. Some of the things those folks did were really good. It somewhat presented the same "awe" that I had with seeing the photos from Top Models.
