Up, up and Away!

I am excited about today. I can hardly sleep.

Lol not quite true, I'd love to climb in to bed right now. (I will shortly.) I'm up packing to go to Miami for Thanksgiving.
This is my first Thanksgiving away from home....I know you thinking, "Damn, aint you like 30 or sum'thin?"
Yes I am, but the fact is that my family has always come together for the holidays....except this year. We're spread out between California and Arizona, and for the most part, due to employment scheduling issues, it was decided that to simplify things, immediate families would spend the holiday together rather than all of us spending it together as a group.

So I decided to take this opportunity to try something different. Don't get my wrong I will be with family, my oldest (since preschool) and one of my dearest friends is going to grad school in Miami and I'm going to be with him, his girlfriend, and some of the other people he has met over the past year. Word is that we'll be in the Floriday Keys for Thanksgiving Day. =)

I'm looking forward to seeing my brother, (preschool....its almost like coming from the same womb.) and getting out of LA for a bit.

I'm out I still need to finish packing!
