What to Do

Self,

This house hunting process is some slow going stuff.   So far my agent has shown me about 8 places...none were a good fit. One might be manageable, But it a older home, and look it...and tht's kinda a problem for me....not to mention I didn't fully like the floorplan.

However Just this passed Sunday, I happen to go to a open house right here in the neighborhood where I already stay.

I loved this place!  (Short of it not having a walk in closet for the master bedroom.)  My problem/dilemma is that this place puts me in the same commuting headache I'm already in...well more because I my expenses would be high own my own then here with my parents.

One said of me says do it, have some faith that it will work out.  the other part of me says don't be stupid and put myself in a worse situation.

Thoughts????  If anyone is out there! lol

Sincerely,
Pharoah

While I Was Out

Self,

I am so super glad I had a chance to see BabyBro.  It was so good to see him and spend time with him.  We went out to eat a few times, caught a movie, went bowling, and even went to a spa where we each got a massage.  Of course the great part was just having a chance to connect and bond.  I went there for him but I think it did me as much good for me to see him as I hope it did him to see me.

In addition to to seeing BabyBro, I also had the chance to see meet and hang out with a new friend.  We've been chatting/texting for about 6 months I believe. I also enjoyed spending some time with him.

While I was on this trip of course TBH and I was in touch. That said I think he has hexed me because now even if I'm out of town I can act a fool....not as much as him though. so this is a text conversation I had with him while I was visiting BabyBro.

Pharoah: So I was driving around the city, taking in the sights as I figured out where I was going....just minding my own business, right.

TBH: You have already started to lie..but continue.

Pharoah: In my wandering I saw this sign that I just couldn't believe. I instantly wished that you were here to have seen it....but alas you are not...so I figured I would make my way back to take a picture to send you.

Believe me it was just there on the side of the road...but I couldn't have wished for a better sign!

TBH: LOL!!!!!!!! Just fell out the bed laughing.

Sincerely,
Pharoah

See his foolishness is rubbing off on me.

What About Your friends!

Self,

In theme of making sure that I try to be more positive in my postings here, I am going to start taking notice of all the things that I appreciate in my life.

Presently, I'm in a space where I am trying to create and build new connections/friendships. I guess intially because I was frustrated with some of the ones I have....ie looking for what I felt was lacking.  For the most part my biggest gripe is that sometimes I feel that we don't engage and hangout with each other as often as I would like.  Yes we all have crazy busy schedules so nobody is to blame. However often I would like to have a group of friends where we don't have to ask "are we going to hangout this weekend," but rather just "what are we doing this weekend."  I know it seems kinda small but hey it's how I feel.  Don't get me wrong when I do get together with my friends I have a great time, so I'm not complaining.

I do accept and acknowledge my role in this too. I mean as I said I do have a crazy schedule, often when I am hit up to hang out....I might usually already have something in motion. I also know that I can/should make more efforts to be the "initiator/invitor" to promt more outings, but because I know folks also have busy lives I don't want to feel like I'm intruding, so I don't reach out as often.

Anyway, as I am on this "quest" I have been chatting and meeting other guys.  Last night I went out with a guy it was our third time hanging out.  I am gratful for this outing because it gave me the chance to realize....that things may not be as bad as I might think.

This dude practically swears he has no friends. He says that when his last realtionship ended about five years ago....his ex won all their friends in the "divorce" because for the most part they were the Ex's friends to start.

Now me and this guy met on one of the gay social apps.  He says he has a hard time meeting other guys on the apps because they are either out of state, or tend to only be looking for sex while he'd rather get to know someone.  What I'm noticing about him is that he kind of expects to "craft" how these new connections should be made, rather than just "go with the flow."  He seems to be impatient which then can make him come off as pushy and needy.  Unfortunately, I think it all stems from him being lonely.  Which makes me grateful that when I do feel lonely, I atleast know I do have friends I can call and bug for a bit!

Sincerely,
Pharoah

A Summer Blast

Self,

For the past two weeks I have been working at the satelite office in Van Nuys rather than the main office in Glendale.  And not too long ago an met this guy who lives about a mile away from the Van Nuys office.   He's 28, 5'7 about 175 pounds, decent body brown skin....and seems like a sweetheart.

So in short we have hooked up a few times while I was in the area....mostly quickies while I was on my lunch break.....the session have been....enjoyable to say the least.  Friday September 7th was the end of my shift at the Van Nuys and it worked out that we were able to meet up after work and not be quite as rushed.

OK so for me I enjoy witnessing/expereincing the person I'm with climax....(yes I like to get mine too, but my partner's is often the catalyst) and his have been good.  But on friday....OMG!  On Friday he.....

He was bucking and jerking so hard that I was a little worried that me might be having a seizure.....this happened twice in the 3 hours I was there....there was an hour nap in between though.  I thought it was so HOT!   I was already feeling bad that he lived so far and out the way that I probably wouldn't see him again for a while....although after those seizure like explosions I was considering the possibility of making a special trip to the valley to "hang out" with him.  THEN as I'm getting dress to head out he tells me he is moving.....even further into the valley to Encino...almost as far as where KB lived/lives.  I'm like AH FUCK!

I really have no desire to make that drive....however it's not like we are dating or plan to ...so it not like I will be going up there all the time...but still that's far!  So I don't know if I should just let the connection fade or what....thoughts, suggestions???

Sincerely,
Pharoah

Where in the World?

Self,

I recently found out that I have for lack of a better word, a gift certificate or voucher for lodging through a my timeshare. Although I need to investigate it a bit more, it looks like it is good at any of the properties available either through my direct timeshare or it's affiliate programs....which is HUGE.  Essentially...the world is in my backyard.  The voucher gives me a 7-day stay for less than $300....which is great cause I would imagine that some of those place go for that much a night.  There ar some "black periods" but that's not that big of a problem.  The bigger problem is where to go sense  I really can't afford to fly just ANYWHERE....I mean I bet airfare to Fiji would be murder!

For the most part, I think I can arrange to take as much as 10-12 days off from work if I wanted it...(the perks of being on the same job for 11 years.)  The problem is I'm not sure where to go....and more specifically where to go alone...cause I don't know of anyone else who can either get the time off to go or afford to fly someplace right now.

I'm open to suggestion, please???

Sincerely,
Pharoah

Would You Ever??? (PRIVATE: NSFW)

Self,
Let me start off by letting you this is NOT SAFE FOR WORK., for chil'ren unless you want to do some 'splainin', or anyone else you don't want all up in your "PRIVATE" business. You heard?

So the day that I went to the Playboy Jazzfestival...was a day of many things.  As I had mentioned I was late getting to the Hollywood Bowl...for a number of reason...but this was part of the reason.....
Well ok my experience with the 2012 World Naked Bike Riders wasn't quite like the first picture (although I do like the REAR-END on the biker with the black and red bag.) This second picture is more like (actually almost exactly) what I saw.....SLOWING me the FUCK DOWN as I was trying to get to the concert. Between the slow ASS bikers and the drivers slowing down to get a peek, maybe even a PEAK, and pictures I think they added an extra 30 minutes to my travel time because I got caught in a bottleneck BEHIND them.

Now I had intended to write about this right after it happend....BUTT tother things got in the way.  On one hand I guess it's not a bad thing that I'm a little slow because it gave me a chance to find pictures to share....lol and comment on.  When I did the google search, I read some of the articles that went with the pictures and found out that the World Naked Bike Ride is a movement that promotes being eco-friendly.  The main idea behind the movement is to reduce the use of automobiles...and the nudity is just to get your attention to bring awareness to their cause....(Sex sells...even when there's nothing to buy.  I mean here it is a month later after I saw them and they are still crossing my mind due to the nudity, right?)

Let me say that these are not my pictures of the event I happen to do a google search for "nude bike riders" and the links led me to these pictures.  in truth I didn't see a whole lot of the nudity in my travels that day.  I mean yes I saw enough exposed skin to say "OH shit, they're naked" .....then  it was very much "I wish they would get they naked asses out my mutha fuckin way."

LMAO.  Anyway here are some pics that I found and...well caught my eye!

These first two I just thought were funny and creative uses of body paint.

Come on you got to admit "The Cat in the Hat" and "The Grinch" is funny.  Is it me or does his hat seem to resemble a condom?  Well I guess you could also say it is also suggestive of a phallus.....no?  I wonder how much did they each have to spend to get that much body paint?  And who applied it for them?  (I am not assuming that they are together, although the common theme of Dr. Seuss' characters may highly suggest the likelihood of there being some cooridination on their part. But that said, it doesn't mean that they would have been comfortable as two men touching each other's naked bodies, to apply the body paint.)

So I like the idea of a basketball player. and on a unicycle....that alone I'm sure made him stand out in the crowd. I so totally was buy him as Larry Bird....with the blond hair and the green and white for the Celtics.....then I read the "Seattle 15" and was confused....lol and wondered if he was too.

Now can we talk about the positioning of his "twig and berries."  Is it me or does it looks like that hurts a bit, or at the minimum is a bit uncomfortable?  I mean they do look as if they are being smashed.  Question; so did he have to seperate his balls to each side of his penis as he sat on the seat or is that just a coincidence?

I'm sorry I just have to confess that I think the implication of the writing "GO GREEN" equates to going "Down" is rather sexy.  I wonder what he looks like above the lips.I mean his body is fair...and yeah I would be curious to play with his "johnson."  The same goes for this guy walking getting a high five. Would you look at those abs! I'm a little disappointed that the abs are about the only thing you can make out in the photo...but oh well.
LMAO!!!  I would not mind placing my hands on the prints!  Of course if I was the one who applied the body paint to get those prints....he would probably just have two red streaks/strips back there from me gripping his ass from various angles multiple times.  As I kept looking through pictures, I found this other one with the two guys and realized that the guy with more pigment was my handprint on the ass guy from the front.  NO he don't have major abs but I still feel he has some sexy appeal. If he approached me to ask me out, I'd say yes.  I like men with a variety of body types....he as a stockiness to himself that I think is attractive.  The guy with the crown next to my handprint guy....does have some abs. Does he have an erection or is that just how he hangs and swangs?
Nothing too profound...I find these two sexy also...mostly the one with the spotted loin cloth, but the other seems to have a decent body also....his lower half...thighs will get me every time!  However the fact that it looks like he has toilet paper hanging out/off his ass...is such a downfall for him.
OK I had to take a break from talking about the guys that I found sexy.  "Bike Free" doesn't have much of an ass, he seems like he is probably older, and since we can't see his face I can't say if he has that distinguished gentleman thing going for him.  What caught my eye was the legs.  I mean the left looks at best average...but the right looks all musckular and stuff.
Guess what....I found a picture of an African-american from the event.  He might even be the token attendee but for sure the token photo-op. So can we talk about this brother? Really?? An afro, and tongue hanging out.  Yeah I know, I know WAY too fuckin skinny....but PHAT in the right place!  I wonder if there were a bunch of guys pissed this brother showed up that day.  LOL I wonder how many secret "n*gga" he was called?

OK so clearly from the discussion of al the photos up to now it's safe to say I'm a gay man.  That said, Yes I am aware that this next picture is a woman.  All I can say is that ...well for some reason the idea of having sex in that position seems REALLY appealing to me.

Ok now that you have seen a few pictures and get a slight idea of what the event is about....could you go naked in public?  Say at a nude beach? Or even on a naked bike ride?  These last two pictures are are here to represent what I believe would currently be the only way I think I could go through with something like this.  Tecate taste ok but I would require something strong than just beer....and probably so much so I probably wouldn't really be able to stay on the bike.  AND if I did manage to drink enough to have the courage to get on a bicycle naked and have the wherewithall to funtion properly, I would need some sort of mask....and this guy is still missing the wild wig and big sunglasses that I would wear.

 Sincerely,
Pharoah

What a Start!

Self,

So I get up this morning, and  to my relief I'm awake early enough that I can take the Metro to work and save on gas.  I dress, drive to the station, buy my ticket, board the train at 5:10am, and I grab a seat that has a vertical handrail that can serve as a headrest.  Great, I settle in to my seat for the 12 station long ride north to downtown Los Angeles.

The next thing I become aware of is the recorded announcer saying the station name at which the train is arriving.  It's the name of a station only two stops away from where I started.....and I thought I had already passed it.  I my slight confusion I look out the windows.....I see that the train is on the wrong side of the station than what I was expecting.   I look at my phone for the time....6:17am.  I start to stand and sit back down a couple times, trying to process the info, but knowing there's a need for action.

My analysis....the train is now traveling south....apparently I rode it all the way downtown and back, while sleep.

The conclusion, all I could do was ride the train the two additional stops to where my car was parked and drive to work.

I should've stayed in bed for that hour.

Sincerely,
Pharoah

With My Own Eyes.........

Self,

Speaking of the things I've seen on the train.  Right after writing my last post, I had to ride the train home.  On one leg of my journey I had saw the fashionably distinct Gucci logo pattern.....you know

                            GC       GC         GC
                          /       \    /      \      /       \
                      GC       GC        GC       GC
                          \      /     \       /      \       /
                           GC         GC         GC

That was TATTOOED on some guy's FACE!

I was DONE!

The Things One May See

Self,

So in an effort to save money towards the end of the year I have taken to using public transportation to get to and from work. The best part is that my primary job reimburses us employee for doing so. The bad news is that I'm working the graveyard shift this week. Although my mom was worried about me using the subway (ok LA's version of it,) at night versus the day. But as a wanna be New Yorker, I do alright. The reality is people are just using it to get to point A to point B.

There are a few differences between the daytime riders and those night-riders. For instance last night, I'm on the underground portion of my journey and only traveling one stop (about 4 minutes.) I get on the train and stand towards the back of the entrance. Others get on and take seats either to the left or right of me. Then a youngster walks in pushing his bike and stands in the area where I am. I check him out, about 5'6 tall, dark brown skin, baseball cap, pants saggin' and long sleeve t-shirt with a fairly developing chest poking out, but only about a buck twenty. Ok, kinda cute but a kid. I turn to look the other way and wait for the doors to close so we can move on to my stop.

Train rolls on to my stop and I step off along with a few other passengers. While walking on the train platform I see the guy with the bike going opposite of me to the other exit which surfaces about two blocks away from where the exit I'm going to will surface. There's a mezzanine level between the train platform and the surface where passengers buy tickets before going down to the platform. However when you are getting off the train this level just represent more space you have to walk through before getting to the stairs that leads to the surface. As I walk to traverse this space dud with the bike rolls by me using his bike like a scooter or skateboard. Although he doesn't get THAT far ahead of me, he does get to the escalator that leads to the street level before me. Before I even get to the escalators myself I see him on the escalator with his bike up on one wheel just before passing beyond the top of my field of vision towards the surface. At this point I assume that's the last I'll see of him. I continue my walk to the escalator so I can get to the street to catch a bus for the last leg of my trip to work.

JUST AS I AM COMING UP THE ESCALATOR AND THE STREET LEVEL IS ENTERING MY FIELD OF VISION ABOUT 15 FEET AWAY I THE GUY WITH THE BIKE LIKE THIS...

Well flip the image and instead of his hands down in his pants one is holding his bike and the other is ON HIS HIP.   I mean I understand the urge to go hits you when it hits you...but he didn't find a dark corner, a bush, or a wall to mask the situation.  Basically he was in the middle of an open courtyard that basically anyone going to the stairs to get to the subway would have to see him.

I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh to myself.   Then I text THEBoyfriend and told him what I had just seen.

Sincerely,
Pharoah

Extra Lovin'

Self,

So the vagabound adventures are underway.  I've been staying with THEBoyfriend since Sunday, so that's been four nights.  And this morning as my alarm on my phone was going off to get me out of bed and off to work...THEBoyfriend offers up some good Extra Lovin'.

Which of course made me think of this..................

OK...instead of running to the store, we rushed off to work. Oh and before you ask there's no Raheem! That I know about anyway.

Although this morning's loving was good...THEBoyfriend seems to have a high sex drive, which made me think of this.............

I think the song is hot!  And I guess my boyfriend has push start sex drive!

The Vagabond Life....

Self,

So I'm going back on the road for a bit....kinda.  I'm suppose to do a two week stint at one of our secondary facilities, which ironically was the reason for my first set of vagabond adventures series of post.  This time it looks like I will be spending those two weeks with THEBoyfriend.

I honestly don't quite know how I feel about us spending two weeks in each other grills everyday, almost constantly.  I mean it's one thing to spend two days together....but two weeks???   I'm sure he will like it, since he seems to want to see each other every day anyway.  HOWSOMEVER, I know I can get moody and want to be left alone and will feel trapped by the fact that there's no way I can have my own space in his apartment.  LOL I hope I don't growl and snap at him!

At the same time, maybe spending that much time together will help to alleviate  some of the issues we recently disagreed about and get us to a "sexy" place/space.

Sincerely,
Pharoah

PS, of course I'll leave notes about this experience...which begins this weekend.

No Longer on the Approved List

Self,

So I'm out of town....down south, visiting a friend and I have to stay in a hotel because there isn't room for me where my friend lives.  I book my hotel online...it was less expensive then most of the other listings...but it wasn't free.

I was scheduled to arrive about 12:30AM but for some reason the flight was delayed before I left LAX so I didn't arrive at my destination until about 2AM.  I wander through the airport to find the rental car counter and by the time I finished the paperwork and got in the car and figured my way out of the airport on to the freeway it was about 2:45AM.  Luckily since this is a city I'm not that familiar with I got a GPS system to go with the rental car.  I enter the address and start trying to follow the instructions, but that wasn't as easy as it sounds because the Nav-system was trying to make me take a Toll road and I just wasn't having it....mainly because I had NO cash on me....and I hate the idea of having to pay to be on a road.

I finally make my way to the hotel.  I park, walk101 to the office and it's locked.  A sign is posted saying after 8pm to ring the buzzer, so I did.  No answer.  I ring it again. No Answer.  I ring again, and again, and again.  Still no answer.  I go back to the car, use my phone to call directory assistance ask for the hotel listing and get the automated system and finallyget the prompt to speak to the operator.....it rings, and rings, and rings again....then disconnects.   Apparently this place does not have 24hr desk service. I have no choice but to wait the three hours til the office opens at 7am in the back seat of the rental car.  I was not happy.

Sincerely,
Pharoah

PS. Don't let anyone tell you the backseat of a Ford Mustang is comfortable.....you'll find your find yourself under Plymouth Rock.

Travels

Self,

Well today I am on the East Coast.  I'm going to see a friend/colleage and to meet with some of my clients.  YES, I heard about that Irene is heading this way....but I can't worry about that bitch....lol she ain't as bad as ME!  I know there's concern...but actually I think I'm good...they say this area of Pennsylvania may see some of the rain...but I won't melt and when I leave here I'll be heading West and away from Irene.

Fondue Fiasco

Self,

Well first off it seems like i'm going to keep having cycles of being a vagabond so I decided to give these posts their own tag.

So since July 7th I've been staying with a pair of friends (who are a couple) in her house. This was a rare situation since she have three kids who happen to be traveling with their father (her Ex-husband.) That week I really only stayed with them for two nights before I returned home for the weekend. However, this week I'm staying four nights, plus his son is spending the week there too. So I wanted to do something for them to show my appreciation for letting me make their place base camp for 6 nights. So I decided that I would make dinner last night.

The menu:
Fried Chicken
sauted spinach with mushrooms and garlic
rice pilaf (Uncle Ben's I wasn't going overboard.)

I stopped by the house before going to the store to see what was there that I could use before going to buy what i would need. I happen to catch them before they left to go to a park so my friend's son could play in the wading pool. The lady of the house had bought a couple peaches for the two guys and I happen to be there while they were eating them. They smelled really good which led to a conversation about chocolate dipped fruit being really good. So I had the idea of trying to have fondue for dessert, with strawberries, bananas and peaches, of course.

So I go to the store and get everything for our meal, but nixed the bananas for angel food cake pieces. I'll admit I had never done fondue at home, so I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing but I figure there had to be a quick & easy way to do it. This is when I thought about just melting chocolate chip morsels, so I go to that aisle to see my options. Well, I get the idea that it would be REALLY delicious (and a bit special) if I got white chocolate chips add some rum flavor and cinnamon, so that's what I bought. (Ok I went a little overboard.)

Dinner was REALLY GOOD! I took a suggestion from Double D and soaked my chicken in a quart of buttermilk for like 30 minutes. (Out of 20 wings, there was only 3 left...granted the lady of the house's twin sister dropped by just in time to join us, but still.) Of course I took some liberties and was a little creative with seasoning the flour that I used to coat the meat.

Anyway we eat dinner on the patio in the backyard. Although the sun had set and there's not much light, it had cooled off so it felt nice to be outside. So although we are all full....everyone was looking forward to dessert so my friend and I go inside to get it ready. He washed and sliced all the fruit and I started melting the chocolate in the double boiler.

I don't know why but the chocolate melted but it never like liquified to become smooth, it just changed shape from the morsel to clumps. So to all of our disappointment (though nobody held it against me) we just had fruit and cake pieces for dessert.

I think I figured out what went wrong, when the chocolate started melting, I think I got ahead of myself and poured in a little milk right out of the frig with the intention of it helping to thin it out a bit to make it manageable for dipping. In my haste, I forgot one of the cardinal rules of cooking;

NEVER ADD SOMETHING COLD TO HOT ITEMS COOKING ON THE STOVE!

I think the sudden change in temperature of the chocolate prevented it from melting the way I wanted and expected. So I'll be trying this again a few time to see if I can get it right!

Sincerely,
Pharaoh
